Travel
In addition to her work in the UK, Anna has filmed in some of the most remote corners of the globe. Locations include Antarctica, Argentina, Botswana, Gibraltar, The Central African Republic, Patagonian Chile, The Galapagos Islands, Indonesia, Zambia, Mexico, and the UK.
Interests
Having discovered how male-dominated the wildlife cinematography industry is, Anna joined the Wildlife Camerawoman Community, who advocate for women and gender minorities in the industry. She is keen to inspire more underrepresented individuals into a life in the wild, behind the camera.
Background and qualifications
Anna spent six years behind the camera in ‘human’ based TV. A year spent working in Argentina gave her a strong desire to ‘do what she could for the planet’, so she changed direction, and retrained, to allow her to focus on natural history programme making.
She took online university modules in Biology and qualified as a rebreather diver (rEvo system) and an HSE art IV commercial diver. She also holds a BCAP qualification in ropes canopy access.
She also has a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Bristol and a Professional Underwater Camera Operator diploma from the Liquid Motion film school in Mexico.
Anna is half Greek and speaks both Greek and Spanish proficiently.
